The Deutscher Naturschutzring e.V. (DNR) is the umbrella organisation of almost 100 German nature, animal and environmental protection organisations. The DNR is committed to the preservation of biodiversity, valuable landscapes, resource and climate protection as well as agricultural practices that are compatible with nature and the environment. Within the project, the DNR provides information on agricultural policy processes and promotes the transfer of knowledge and insights from the project to politics and society.

Founded in 1419, the University of Rostock is the oldest university in the Baltic Sea region. Research of the Chair of Agricultural Economics, located at the Faculty of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences is focused on the development of the EU's Common Agricultural Policy (CAP), economic and ecological impacts of agri-environmental policy and the sustainability of land use systems. For CAP4GI, the agricultural economics team investigates the socio-economic background of the implementation of nature conservation and environmental protection within CAP. It conducts farm-specific interviews and surveys as well as a discrete choice experiment.

The non-profit Wildtierland Hainich GmbH is the sponsor of the Wildcat Village Hütscheroda and the Natura 2000 station Unstrut-Hainich/Eichsfeld. The station is an integral part of nature conservation in Thuringia and carries out numerous projects to protect wild animals, plants and habitats. In doing so, it mediates between nature conservation, agriculture, forestry, and local population. As part of CAP4GI, the partner is involved in setting up and carrying our exchange platforms in Thuringia in the regions of Eichsfeld, Thuringian Basin and East Thuringian bunter sandstone area, as well as at state level.
